We have recently learned of the proposed plans by Alexandria’s Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities to eliminate one of the few tennis courts remaining in the city located at Powhatan Park. The good news is there is still time to save this court so residents, many of whom already utilize the court quite frequently, may continue to benefit from it for years to come.
The city will be taking feedback on their plan until the end of June 2015. If you are a lover of the game, please let the city know you want to save this tennis court! (Please remember to be respectful with your comments.)
Simply select Powhatan Park from the drop-down box, and check “I Don’t Like It” next to the
“Remove Tennis Court” item.
